MA Creative Practice

I decided to create an illustration for each area of the college. I did this firstly in grey scale and then used the LCA colours to add some colour to the design

Format:

I intended to print the publication on one A3 sheet of paper and fold it down into one smaller booklet.

Format tests:

After testing the design it was clear that printing on A3 did not allow the space needed to display the information so I had to change the format to an A6 saddle stitched booklet. By doing this I was able to space out the information and give the design more room to breath. I am very happy with the outcome as I achieved it in only one day.

After speaking with Andrew Craske in the marketing department he informed me that Peter and Paul were no longer designing the interior way finding and that specialist company were going to design and install the way finding system. This meant that I would be unable to work on the design of the system.

I had really wanted to work on this brief so I decided to revisit the outcome and change it to something similar but at a scale I could work on myself. I spoke with Andrew about producing something for student ambassadors and he was very positive. I therefore propose to produce a hand book for student ambassadors to assist them when taking visitors around the college.
