Leeds College of Art Wayfinding brief:
Considering that I attend a specialist arts college I think that the wayfinding is incredibly basic and boring. I propose to design a new wayfinding system including a set of symbols for the college. I also want to include a digital aspect to my wayfinding to link with my CoP3 and personal interests.
Simon's feedback:
Focus on the physical aspects of the design before the digital as the physical is more important. A digital aspect could be added a later date. Augmented reality would be interesting.

This brief runs throughout the whole year and is based on a day-to-day journal from the beginning of the year to the end. The final outcome is not yet decided but I plan to compile all of the content and put it into something that showcases the journey through third year.

Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit DVD Collection
Collaboration with Grace Buckley.
Limited edition collection of DVD covers and inserts for the Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit franchise. Grace and I have an interest in the franchise and thought it would be a good brief to complete over the christmas period.

A completed re-design of an independent gardening company in Walsden and Rochdale. The current branding is very old fashioned and could do with a re-vamp.

App design for Unipol
The Unipol Student Housing website is a prime example of how something that looks good doesn't always work in the best way. I think that Unipol have a great looking website but the user experience is not very successful.
Simon's feedback: Keep the branding guidelines the same so it is limiting.

Branding for The Late Late Show with James Corden
The Late Late Show is currently run by Craig Ferguson and is being taken over by James Corden early next year. TV and Celebrity Culture is something that really interests me. I plan to design the branding for the show in a simply digital manner, also a mock up of the TV set.
